About Tom
Tom is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts where he pursued his studies in theatre and philosophy. He has worked throughout the greater New York and Boston metro areas, Cape Cod, and various parts of the United States. Tom began performing when he was in the 8th grade playing percussion for his family pirate band The Roving Blades. He continued performing at various theaters, The New York Renaissance Faire, and throughout his schooling. Tom was heavily involved with children’s theater performing at Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theatre for 5 seasons and continues to do various tours and performances of The Greatest Pirate Story Never Told. He has also developed an educational program for schools about the life of Samuel Bellamy and pirates.
Tom began playing accordion his senior year of high school when the opportunity to perform cover songs of the swing-punk band The World Inferno/Friendship Society arose. This began a self-guided exploration into accordion, music theory, and developing new means of performing with the instrument. Tom’s musicianship has led to him performing in theaters, restaurants, festivals, markets, Renaissance Faires, summer camps, schools, assisted living/retirement communities, weddings, private parties, and other venues around the country.
Today Tom continues to pursue theater through the lens of his musicianship. Each new performance presents additional music styles and materials that lead him to develop his playing. Tom’s work and his collaborations with various theatre artists and musicians perpetually inspire ideas for the creation of original characters and lays down fresh avenues for imaginative and unique entertainment.
