The Lion, the Bear, and the Wolf

The Lion, the Bear, and the Wolf features myself on accordion, Marc Mills on violin, and Asia Lupo on percussion, with all of us on vocals that feature three-part harmonies. All three of us have a background in musical theater, and therefore bring larger-than-life theatrics, characters, and energy to our music. As a world folk group, we play a wide variety of genres that span from traditional Celtic, to Eastern European jazz, and even to classic rock. What makes our sound and style signature to us is our rare instrumentation, which leads to unique arrangements.

We like to take songs that are significantly older than we are, and create original arrangements that give the songs new life- they are younger, fresher, more exciting, and more relevant to audiences today.  

Because of our vast repertoire that spans centuries, we’ve had the fortune of performing at various different venues, including traditional indoor spaces like concert halls, performing arts centers, and pubs, and outdoor spaces such as Renaissance faires and Halloween festivals. For each of these venues, we have been able to tailor our show and repertoire to fit the venue and best please our clients, as well as the patrons!
